The koi fish symbolizes luck, prosperity, good fortune, strength, perseverance – basically everything good.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach piece is hand cut, filed, finished smooth and surfaces brought to a matte finish. Then I rivet the pieces together and the little vintage metal koi fish are then connected with a jump ring. A surgical stainless steel ear wire finishes the look. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe finished earrings are approximately 1.375\" (32mm) wide and hang about 3\" (72mm) from the ear.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach piece of metal comes to me having lived a previous life--in some cases multiple lives! It is not unusual for the material to sometimes have scuffs, scratches, faded portions, and general wear and tear.
