Some of the earliest spring bloomers, lilacs have been revered in cultures all over the planet. One of my earliest flower memories is of the gorgeous lilac at my great grandmother’s house. It seemed impossible that anything could be that beautiful or smell that sweet.

In many traditions Lilacs are also associated with banishing and getting rid of negative energies–which may be due to its strong but light fragrance, but I think it might be more about their tenacious spirit. Even in the midst of a long drought, the lilacs at my mom’s place continue to push up hundreds of new shoots. All in the barest amount of soil that exists on top of this ledge of an island. This is the energy that lives within these pendants—a reminder that we can be both beautiful and tenacious.

These pendants feature a length of tin riveted into a circle shape and filled with concrete. On one side I encapsulated a tiny lilac leaf that’s then finished with a layer of antique gold tinted wax and on the other side I created a small concave silver leaf moon. Each one is completely unique. Choose your favorite from the drop down menu.

The finished pendants are a little over 1" (28mm) round and finished with an 18” stainless chain with a lobster clasp and 2” extender.

All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
