I sometimes find antler sheds while walking in the woods. A while back I got the bright idea to try to use some of them in my jewelry. I quickly learned that working with this beautiful but rugged material was way too much effort. So here’s my one and only pair of gilded antler earrings.
Each piece is hand cut, edges filed and finished smooth and then strung on surgical stainless steel ear wires to finish the look.
The finished earrings are approximately .5" (12mm) wide and hang about 1.5" (36mm) from the ear.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
